Importance of medical imaging and radiation

The Department of Radiologic Sciences exhibited poster displays in the Health Sciences Riverside building. This was in observance of National Radiologic Technology Week®, an annual event that celebrates the importance of medical imaging and radiation oncology. During this week the national organization, Alliance for Quality Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, held a virtual march on Capitol Hill to encourage lawmakers to co-sponsor and enact the Consistency, Accuracy, Responsibility and Excellence in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy bill, or CARE bill (H.R. 583 and S. 1042).
