Newest machines have the capabilities

Mercy Hospital Devils Lake celebrated National Radiologic Technology Week® by having an open house featuring 3D ultrasound. Mercy’s newest equipment features both 3D and 4D (real-time 3D). This allows pregnant women to see what their baby will look like before it’s born. The technology of ultrasound has grown rapidly over the years. Most people are familiar with traditional two dimensions (2D) ultrasound scanning. Now, many of the newest machines have the capabilities of 3D or 4D imaging. The open house explained this new wave of ultrasound and had images from their equipment available for viewing.
