National Radiologic Technology Week® honoring the hard work and accomplishments of
Radiologic Technologists (RTs) is celebrated each year during the week that includes Nov. 8,
the day German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the X-ray in 1895. This
year’s theme for the national celebration was “Improving Health Care One Image At A Time.”
The Radiology Department sponsored an informational fair on Nov. 12. The fair encompassed
every aspect of radiology available to our Veteran patients, from General Radiology to MRI.
Informational displays were available so attendees could learn more about the radiology
process, from ordering an exam to the completion of the exam with images. A variety of imaging equipment was also on display.
